Starting the digital journey

I'll be honest this has been something that has gotten shuffled to the bottom of the pile more times than I care to remember, but it is something I want to do. So it's been just over 12 months since getting a Bambu 3D printer and experiencing the joy of bringing my digital art to life, especially with a machine that doesn't require any tinkering and the learning curve isn't as difficult as with other printers.

(Baby Fire Dragon from STL Flix - above)

To help with the learning process I chose a lifetime subscription with STL Flix, a fantastic bunch of designers and artists who produce regular new content for their members on a regular basis.

Once comfortable with the system and software I produced a set of trophies for my local RC racing club (below)

Next came the largest print I'd ever attempted and being honest I was a little apprehensive. My university journey paid off because the print came off without a hitch and all my other skills of crafting, painting and finishing came into light with this one. I'm going to leave it as a teaser because the full process and break down is going on my portfolio and as a separate blog post.

Following the Wolf head came another commission from the same client to create a large dragon head on a shield. Again the process will be put into a portfolio and blog post, but here is the final product

Currently we are working on a display cabinet for a specialist Warhammer statue; Captain Titus. Once complete and delivered I will post more about this.

So that's a brief summary of the journey so far. I hope you stick around to find out what we create next or if you have something you want us to create please use the contact form on our website to get intouch.

Until next time my friends, stay safe and have fun with what ever you're doing.
